Thursday Night

We finished up the work this morning. Cleaning the main hall, blowing the sidewalks and of course cutting, splitting and stacking wood   Michelle, Elyssa and Kara even got to use the jackhammer to get some big rocks out from the trails.

After lunch we went around the property and filled all of the feeders.

After our ride we went by the area where they will be digging for oil   We had all signed a large stake and covered it with scripture. We then prayed over the area an asked God to bless them with oil and drove the stake into the ground

After dinner the caving group took off for their adventure  I took some senior picture for Jordan then the rest if us that didn't go caving went out for ice cream

We are waiting for the cave crew to return.

We will be getting up at 6:00 am tomorrow to pack and clean and get a group picture before heading home

It has been a great week here

See you all soon

God Bless

Shelly

Happy Birthday Anna

Today is Anna Orange's Birthday

Morning at the cross

We started the morning at the foot of the cross.  We were reminded of God's sacrifice for us. We spent time in worship, prayer and reflection.  It was a great way to start the day.

Today we will be finishing up some jobs in the morning and after lunch we will take a ride through the property to fill the feeders and see all if the work that was done.

Tonight most of the group will go caving.

Last night we all had a great time at Renfro Valley.  Matt, Nate, Jordan and Elyssa went on stage and led us in "How great is our God"

Prayers for a productive last day and safety in the caves tonight.

Blessings

Storms !!!

Just as we are getting ready for dinner the storms came in from the west.  Thank you God for the rain to cool us down an that it held off until the work of today was done

God is good

Wednesday

What a beautiful day God gave us. It's kind of crazy that the heat index has been well into the 90's every day yet when the kids pray they thank God for the great weather so it must not be bothering them too bad.

Today consisted of more pruning, weed whipping, cutting, splitting and stacking wood

I took Whitney, Kara and Elyssa to the mission to work today and did some yard work when we got back

Tonight we will be going to Renfro Valley to see Jeff Watson and friends.  It should be a great night.

I can't say enough how proud I am of all of the kids they are doing amazing jobs.  Mike and Lori are so grateful for all that is getting done

Our adventures

Last night, we made a trip into the city to pick up moon pies and McDons. The moon pies were delicious and so was the McDonald's. The seats at McDonald's were hamburgers with faces! We felt a little out of place and saw some very Kentuckyish people, so we came back to the camp and decided to worship God. I love doing worship in the middle of these mountains. It's SO BEAUTIFUL! We learned about how God made each and every one of us unique, how to use our spiritual gifts, and not to be afraid to pray in front of people. This morning, some of us also got up to see the sunrise and spent time alone with God. <3

Good Morning!

Good Morning from Kentucky. God has blessed us with another beautiful morning.   A group of guys got up early to get in some early morning fishing. A bunch of my girls got up to take in the sunrise.  Collin and Shinny made us a great breakfast of pancakes and sausage

Today we will be cutting, splitting and stacking more wood,  finishing the lawn work and pruning the 17 miles of trails.   Matt had been working hard with the brush hog clearing the fields and trails.

Prayers for safety again today (only 4 tics yesterday). Also rain is in the forecast for this afternoon. Prayed that it holds off until our work is done

Blessings

Work this Morning

This morning was a busy morning

Quincy, Zach, Brooke, and Anna G went down to the ponds with Collin and Holly and weed whacked and mowed.

Kallie push mowed Amelie and Michelle weed whipped along the fence!

Jordan Gibby and Jon were cutting trees and hand splitting the logs

Glenn, Mike, Elyssa, Kara, Solomon and Noah fixed the fence

Shinney is on kitchen detail

Shelly, Anna O, Taylor, Whitney, Eli, and Sasha. Worked up by Mike and Lori's house splitting and stacking wood

Good Morning!

Got up early with some great guys for a time of Devotion and watching the sunrise. God however had other plans for us as instead we watched the fog roll in and ingulf us.  It was still a great experience on the top of the mountain digging into God's word. Listening to the sounds if nature and the voice of Matt singing praise and worship by the cross.

Our prayer for today is safety while we work and servant hearts.  I will try to have a student update at lunch

God Bless

Oh Lord our Lord how majestic is your name

We had a great night of praise and worship.  I took time to remind the kids to take time each day and reflect on the majesty of Gods creation.  We all have such busy lives and often miss the amazing creation that God made for US! As we work this week it is my prayer to enjoy our time at the top of this mountain  in all that he has made for us. Tonight prayers for good sleep and rest to get us ready for a good day of work. Many will be rising early to take in the sunrise so watch for a blog with pics in the am. Until then sleep sweet and God bless
